ASFA Coursing

The members of Lake Country Lure Coursers focus on providing ASFA Trials (American Sighthound Field Association) in the Western New York area. Our trials average approximately 50 dogs entered with a large number of whippets.

Trials are usually held in April, May, September and October. The latest Premium List is available here.

The Trial in May is part of a joint Canadian/American sponsored event -the Can/Am Challenge. The Best of Breed winners from both the American and Canadian Trial compete for the Can/Am challenge trophy. This event has been held at fields close to the international border for 14 years in partnership with the Ontario Lure Coursing Association.

In 2006 LCLC is hosting one ASFA trial very month from April to September. The dates are April 22/23, May 20. June 24/25, July 29/30, August 26/27, and September 9/10
